Six videotaped operas of independent creative group „Operomanija“ from „New opera action“
Opera “Julius” is based on real facts from the time after II World War. It is a story about people running from exile and death, wishing for brighter life somewhere abroad but in the heart upholding hope to return to their homeland.
Animated opera “Kliudžiau” (“I hit the mark”) is a modern interpretation of a well-known story under the same title by Lithuanian writer Jonas Biliūnas.
In the opera “Kitos trys seserys” (“Three other sisters”) instead of three A. Chekhov sisters Olga, Masha and Irina there are three other sisters: Nina, Nadia and Natasha, which all three merge into musical run of one vocalist.
Opera “Pokylis” (“The Ball”) tells a story about the game with human destiny and love intertwined with outside glamour and the phantasmagoria of the ball.
Contemporary dance opera “NO AI DI” is based on the saga, fairy stories and legends by nation of Sámi.
Humorous opera “Meška” (“The Bear”) tells a story of the thin line between despite and love. You have to get free entrance passes at the box office. One person can get max. two passes. |
