Excursions titled "Visually Impaired People in the Information Society"

During the excursions visitors will be introduced to the books written in Braille and to the biography of Louis Braille himself. Information about schools for the blind, work undertaken by the blind etc. Visitors will see how visually impaired people use computers with sound synthesis. Children will be introduced to sensory children's books, games: close your eyes and guess what is impersonated, write your name in Braille etc.
22.00 – 23.30 for young folks. To the contrary the excursions for the elderly and families, the youth will have the opportunity to walk part of the tour blindfolded and "see" everything with the help of their fingers.

| Play "Madwoman" |
This play is a wish to talk about the fact that predominant attitude towards mentally-ill people is frequently flawy because mano people have not enough information about these problems and rely on wantonly mistified or stereotyped information. A story about experiences of young girl Aja, who has just stepped into mental institution. In a closed ward she meets three other patients, observes their relationship with relatived, doctors-psychiatrists and environment. Their fates that have intertwined briefly and the experiences of the main character in the institution changes her perception of world and helps to evaluate the most important things differently.
The play will be in the Russian language with Lithuanian subtitles.
From 23.00 the exterior of the theatre and approaches to the building will become an art space for a synthesis of light and sound. With this audio-visual play the theatre will invite the residants of Vilnius and all the visitors to pay attention to the history and architecture of the building, which will be soon celebrating its centenary, and to give thought to the problems of the safeguarding of the cultural heritage.

It is a collaborative work of actors P. Budrys, V. Kuodytė and A. Liuga, staged after play written by M. Duras who was commissioned by the British television in the 80s. "Music 2“ is an attempt to hear the inner music of an actor. It is a search for the truth of feelings and thoughts while establishing an intimate dialogue with yourself, partner and spectator. Actors are near spectators and their roles are reflections of life that illuminate this short meeting.

It is a shocking family story about complicated relationship between daughter and mother. Long-lasting monotony is suddenly interrupted by the words: "Mother, I've decided to commit suicide". The following monologues of mother and daughter reveals the causes of such decision. Soon the battle between life and death starts. Is the woman who doesn't see purport of life really going to commit suicide? Or perhaps mother will suppress the rooted determination of her daughter? Two young actresses are acting J. Dambrauskaitė ir G. Giedraitytė.

Exposition of Polish Cinema Actresses.
The Pearls of Polish Animated Films. |
Polish Cinema Actresses is an exposition composed of biographies and achievements of 55 actresses who represent different generations from prewar to today. The actresses were selected by two ways. The list was presented by the committee of prominent representatives of cinema: the writer and scriptwriter J. Głowacki, cameraman and director S.Idziak, producer and director M.Kwieciński, director B. Lankosz and actor and director B.Linda. The names that were selected by the committee were supplemented by the second list which was compiled by the visitors of www.filmweb.pl website. The authors of actors' portraits are also fotoartists from different generations: P. Bujnowicz, E. Hartwig, K.Gierałtowski, Z. Nasierowska, R. Pajchel, W. Plewiński, T. Rolke. They were related to the cinema world for many years; therefore, they have managed to convey much more than its glitter and colours. Over years many exhibition portraits took on dramatic strokes of history . The portraits perpetuate not only personalities of actresses and their beauty but also their dreams and concerns. It is said that photographs record that only moment like caging it in. But the true photograph reveals much more. You can make sure of that at this exhibition.

| De Solitude |
The line ("The window of solitude shows a silent film") from the poem written by G. Labanauskaitė, the author of "AVaspo“ texts, has become the creative code of collaboration of Lithuanian audiovisual poetry group and two French visual artists - N. Perge ir R. Dupont. The dotted dramaturgic line of "De Solitude“ will be drawn from poetic line-drawing, musical experiences and exsistence in performance to visual narratives.
It is an installation, a one-day exhibition which does not have stereotypical conventional frames of a concert or visualisation. This is the reason why the show will last only for three hours – you can watch a short fragment or the whole performance from beginning to end. |

The projects of art synthesis. "Baroque Today“ is a united project of young artists that joins music and dance.
22.00-23.00 first programme – two different styles will merge near the Church of Blessed Virgin Mary of Consolation. LMTA students K. Glinskaitė (classical vocal), S. Smirnova (jazz vocal) and pianist J. Sodeika will try to find the contact between classics and jazz. The ancient Baroque arias will be the basis of the improvisation.

After the Great Fire of Vilnius on May 18th 1706, many residents of Vilnius claimed to have experienced the help of the Virgin Mary and some of them even claimed to have seen how the Blessed Virgin Mother extinguished the flames above the Church of St. Theresa and the Gates of Dawn. The residents prayed in front of the painting of the Mother of Mercy and thanked for the rescue. And today we gather at the Gates of Dawn to thank Mary and ask her for her care and protection of our city. The prayer for Vilnius is like a reverberation of an old tradition, which has faded throughout the time, but is still remembered and significant today. |

Introduction to the Creative Industries, their concept, and its importance in Lithuania. Participants, walking in the labyrinth, will find the exit only by following the examples of creative industries. If they come to a dead end they will have to come back understanding that they have chosen the wrong path. During the opening of the labyrinth there will be the graffiti art contest. Collectors during the event in the labyrinth will be able to find the book of stamps and exchange their stamps to yet unseen and new ones to them.

| Flying Samurai |
This is the first play in Lithuania that is built on trees using climbing equipment. This is an old like the Far East story about a brave warrior who is ready to fight even The Devil for love. The whole story will be told by an old grand-grandson of a soldier of Imperial Chinese Army. The story-teller will use shadow theatre, which will intertwine with the choreography and fight scenes. Taking place not only on the ground but also on trees. The light and video installation will be created in order to strengthen the effect.
The installation will give a sense of being in Old China Town.
