Family area is a mini festival for the whole family within “Culture night”. Traditionally, for the sixth year in a row, the festival will settle in the cozy Bernardinai garden. This year Family Area will become the Kingdom of the Past and we will invite the visitors of this kingdom to become the rulers of history, discover themselves and get to know the world. “Kingdom of the Past” will turn into a space where the shadows of the past will take over, inviting everyone to get to know history, other cultures and discover interesting interactive activities, play games and together find out something new and have a good time outside. Various culture and art education programs will invite to become part of the amazing world of history and hear some interesting facts about the past.
The family area will become a perfect venue for the whole family, because there will be an interesting axctivity for everyone. We will offer ideas for meaningful leisure time, various workshops and games, not only for the little but also for the big ones. Dance and music performances won’t let anyone get borred and will draw every visitor into the embrace of dance and the old sounds of Lithuanian multipart songs and pipes will charm with the incredible sound magic. Theatre actors will tell various stories. The circus meadow will attract with vivacious performances. Everyone willing will be able to learn the art of juggling and watch the performance of fakirs. The visitors of Kingdom of the Past will be able to turn into the stage characters and make memories in a photo studio. A garland of colourful hammocks will strecth acros the river, and after dark we’ll look at colourful installations which will tell the stories of their past.
